Speech and Drama for Nursery students is about making learning as natural and engaging as play. It is language in action: a concoction of stories, music, and characters brought to life to capture the imagination of children. Our teachers weave in rhymes, drama and our specially selected collection of literature into classes to enable young children to develop their use of language and build their confidence. We encourage children to think for themselves, using inquiry-based learning to nurture independence.

Students learn about collaboration and creativity in an individualised, child-centric environment. It is about bringing to life the magic of stories and poems that pique their interests, whilst developing self-awareness and and understanding of their own abilities. Language skills are honed through a thematically-structured curriculum. Children are inspired to contribute, try out different roles and realise their ideas. With guidance, the class produces a drama presentation working towards a Trinity College London Young Performers Certificate.
